I have a quick question about the anger test in the workbook for this session. The options go little/no anger, slightly irritated, moderately irritated, very upset and angry. My question is this: I don't really get angry but I get hurt , like my feelings, emotions. so when I say I'm irritated or upset, it's not in an angry way, it's in a hurt way. Of the ones I thought were 4s, only one was out of anger, the others were because I'd be more than a little hurt. So How should I answer the questioniare?

I had trouble answering some of these because I tend to read into the question too much. I decided I would just go with my initial response. As I worked through the chapter the responses began to make more sense. Think about how you view anger and use that or the definition in the ch. to guide. you.

I had that same experience the first time I looked at the questionnaire. I experienced, depression, upset irritation but not anger.

In the chatgroup, someone pointed out that irritation is a form of anger. I started to watch my emotions for a few days and it came pouring out. I realized that I blaming and being angry all the time, often accepting the other persion's view and then getting depressed.

The person I was most angry at me!
