This chapter really surprised me!! I didn't realize how much anger I had until I took the quiz. I think this may be one of my hardest areas to overcome. I can remember since I was little everything kindof pissing me off! I really need to work on this. Anyone out there have suggestions on how to conquer this area?? I learned a few things, but they are still sinking in...Thanks, Ebbie

hey Smiler I have the same problem......I really like what Linda said about taking a 10 second breather or even a whole day.........sometimes I get so angry though that I feel I must act........So this may sound silly but I take a glass and fling it at this old tree........hopefully I won't have to do that anymore but it's better than me hurting a person. Sometimes I'll even sing an Aretha Franklin song and that helps........or I take a trip to the park to get away.I think sometimes we have just so much energy floating around that needs to be channeled into something good......so maybe take up a hobby........maybe paint or do a sport.........just make sure it won't stress you out more........well, I hope this helps Smiler

hi Ebbie,
Let them keep sinking in!
Go back to that tape a few more times now and then. You'll get more out of it each time you listen.
Keep going forward with the program and the rest of the sessions will shed more light on this as you go along. Each session builds on the last one and helps.
The anger eases up as we learn more coping skills, love ourselves more, adjust our expectations, worry less, obsess less, let go of the guilt -
basically, each one of our issues in connected to the others, creating the anxiety and depression. It's one big workable puzzle, and we need to get the pieces all together to see the whole picture. Once this happens, the healing begins and keeps improving.
This is why it's so important to follow the guidelines of the program and complete the whole package.

Hope this helps.
God bless and hugs to you.
