Tony,
First of all I would like to say that it's great you are getting help. Some people have had this disorder for many years, so it's great to get help early in the game. Smiler Anyway, I used to think that there was something wrong with me and felt bad all the time too...until I found the program. I've had my share of ups and downs since going through the program (Spring 2001), but I'm doing GREAT down! Not everyday is going to be great and not everyday is going to be bad. Accept that you have this condition and accept the fact that you aren't perfect. Change takes time. i used to get a lot of headaches too...and feelings of unreality, *sigh* panic attacks, couldn't eat, fear of failure, fear of having a heart attack, fear of dying, plenty of scary thoughts...the list goes on... *sigh* I've been there. I have had problems with my anxiety since I was about 6 or 7 years old. I'm lucky I found the program when I did. I'm 25 and feel GREAT about what's up for me next in my life. YEah, somedays we feel bad, but you gotta love yourself no matter if you are mad, sad, happy, whatever. Smiler Be kind to you! Anyway, I hope that I have helped you in some way. Keep your chin up and keep climbing out of your hole. YOu CAN do it!!!!!!
Take care,
Cindy

Hi Tony

I really feel for you. Those symptoms are so debilitating. But you must keep going on. Change is not going to happen over night. I wish it would believe me. However, with anything, our bodies need time to adjust and learn. Let me give you an example. Say if you've never played the piano and someone sat you down in front of it and asked you to play a complicated Mozart piece. Could you do it? Probably not. It would take weeks, months and years of practice. It works the same way with the program. It is new behavior that you are learning and it takes time and practice. That's just the way the body works. I hope that you feel better soon. But trust me, you will one day if you are persistent. I think that Tony Robbins once said "Change requires massive positive action." Believe in yourself. You can do it. I know you can.

Welcome to the group Tony. I'm sorry to hear you are having a rough go of things.

Please know that it can and will get better. I dug myself out of that pit once before and for the most part I live each day completely anxiety free.

I have known a man with your name.....you wouldn't be from Michigan would you?

Hi Tony,

Trying to not think about your symptoms is thinking about your symptoms. It's about being with them and letting go of trying to get rid of them. This is the right attention. It's the trying to get rid of them that keeps them there - alive - and coming back. Begin practicing allowing those feelings. (Allowing does not mean you have to like them. It simply means that you accept what is happening.) Describe them to yourself. They are only hurting you because you are resisting them. The resistance to them is your pain.

Practice this daily and you'll notice the feelings subsiding more quickly.

Blessings,
Bon

HI TONY...I AM JUST LIKE YOU AND I FIND THAT AMAZING I STILL THINK I AM THE ONLY ONE. I TOO HAVE SPENT IN EXCESS OF 50,000. OUTSIDE OF INSURANCE AND STILL DETERMINED TO FIND SOMETHING. IN MY CASE THERE ARE HEALTH ISSUES BUT NOT TO THE LEVEL OF DIZZINESS, LOW FEVER AND JUST FATIGUED ALL I MEAN ALL THE TIME. I APPRECIATE THE LETTERS WRITTEN TO YOU AND THEY HELP ME AS WELL. I ALSO AGREE WITH YOU THAT I HATE THIS CONDITION AND I SEE HOW IT IS DESTROYING WHAT WAS AT ONE TIME A VERY FULFILLING AND "NORMAL" LIFE. I DID HAVE PROBLEMS BUT NOTHING EFFECTED ME THE WAY MOST THINGS DO NOW. I HATE DRIVING OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE I HATE TRAVELING AND I USED TO LIVE IN 3 DIFFERENT STATES ALWAYS ON PLANES AND NEW SITUATIONS. NOW I HATE GOING TO THE PHARMACY . I TRUELY HATE THIS PLACE AND I AM GOING TO FIGHT OR FLOAT MY WAY OUT SOMEHOW SOMEWAY....GOOD LUCK AND KNOW YOURE NOT ALONE EITHER.
