This part of the program has hung me up for a number of months now. I feel like I need to overcome this problem before I will be effective at tackling the other secitons.

I have had a problem with letting things get to me and cause me to get frustrated and pissed off since I was a teenager. But here in the last couple of years . . .I've been wrestling with this problem and it has me worried.

I don't want to be consumed by angry thoughts every time I'm in a certain situation, or have to deal with someone I don't care for, or have the least little things ruin my mood and day . . . and most of all I don't want angry feelings and uncalled for stress to harm my health.

I've listened to this tape over and over and see exactly what Lucinda is talking about, but can't seem to get on top of it and get the applications to work.

Please HELP!!!

The best way is to let go of some of those things. When you are put in a situation you have choices. You can choose to hold on to that anger and let it bother you until you have played it through your mind so much that it causes extreme anxiety. You can choose to under-react,let go-even float through and have minimal anxiety. You do have the choice. The concept is simple.Practicing is the challenge.I think of this when I seem to be going in circles I think it was on the Driving With Comfort tape with Carolyn Dickman: 'If you always do what you've always done then you will always get what you always got.' This holds true to almost any of the negativity in our lives.Negativity means bringing the anxiety and holding on to it.It's time to change your habit-don't hold on to the negative.I hope I helped you.I haven't seen your name before so if you are new welcome to the forum and keep posting out here-someone will at least try to help in some way. This can be a wonderful place.Take care.
