A class that I'm taking (and have to take) that studies Feminist theories is really turning me into a bitter person. I start to recognize and agree with the oppression of women in certain aspects of life, many times these ideas tie into my own theories about the causes of my depression and anxiety. I'm not a man-hater or anything through this, but the whole materialism of Marxist Feminists and behavioral/social conditioning of Radical Feminists are really starting to develop (in me) some feeling of anger and frustration with the world--that whole "life's not fair" thing.

Aside from that, I had to read a horrible play which involved a corrupted male/husband figure and incest with a 12 year old on the side--graphic and disgusting! I felt sick to my stomach upon reading it and I am angry with the professor(f) for assigning it. It produced a lot of anxiety that I still haven't been able to shake and I don't think I want to go to the next class when it will be discussed. This whole class, while enlightening me to some anxiety producing thoughts that I wasn't previously aware of, has also caused me a great deal of anxiety over some of these assignments. Help, anyone? --please.

Lena,
I understand that you have to take this class. So, put it down as "just a class". In the first place, as a woman, i dont feel i have been discriminated against. the whole feminst thing has gone way overboard in my opinion. I dont want to be like a man, do you? I enjoy being a woman, and no class would ever change my mind!! My values are built on a firm foundation of the God, and he made honored women, so who cares what a professor or a class thinks, you hold on the values you have, and just do the class as a class, not as a way to make you feel bad, or get angry or frustrated. Marxism was a long time ago, and as women, " WE HAVE COME A LONG WAY" We are living in desperate times , and so holding on to your firm foundation is very important, and professors dont see most subjects the way i do, or you do. Just go with the flow , pass the class and dont worry about it. God Bless you Smiler

Lena,

I agree with Nervous Nelly here. In all honesty colleges can really aggitate me sometimes. I have a 24 year old daughter who learns very liberal and oftentimes ungodly and untruthful things in her classes and then comes home and challenges her mother and dad to debates, mainly me. But I sit and listen to the garbage and untruth that some professors try to ram down our kids throats and I address it.

More recently her arguments have been about politics, slavery and our Nations founding and other moral issues concerning sexuality.

But we are always up to the task and dispell many of those reprobate ideas.
