Hello,
I am on week six of the program and I am having more trouble getting out of the house now than I did on week one. I have a big problem with anticipating my outings and by the time I leave the house I am so anxious that I can't enjoy myself. I get nervous and shaky and my throat feels really tight. Also I more nervous in general now. Before I could hide the way I felt and go on about my day now I can't hide from it anymore. Am I alone on this? Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks, Becca

Hello Andrew,

Thanks for responding and for the picture. I remember her saying that we would be more anxious for a while but I thought it would start to ease up by now. Yes I am still doing my relaxation tape and replacing my negative thoughts. Any ideas on how to help this.

Thanks, Becca

Becca,

I wanted to respond cause I, too, have been experienceing more anxiety since starting the program. so much in fact that I'm thinking of going on Paxil. I have a couple of big things coming up in my life and the anxiety is keeping me up nights and missing work, so I need a little help to get me through. I never wnated to go on anything, but at this point, I'm too anxious and too scared to care. Why not have a little help, I'm no longer afraid of the stigma.

Jeanne,
Hi Thanks for responding its nice to know someone else feels like this. I tried some medications but not paxil. I had some really bad effects from them so I couldn't take them. But my doctor gave me an anti-anxiety medication and that helps a lot and I only take them when I need to so that saves me some trouble getting off them later. Plus they just calm you down some without any side effects.
Hope things work out for you!
