In a meeting this morning, an issue came up that hit right in my area and I get a bit miffed about it. I felt myself get riled up, but expressed my feelings in a calm manner although I was as calm on the inside.
The feelings lasted for about 10 minutes before subsiding and I got back to feeling normal. Is this what the tapes talk about with expressing and resolving the anger response? I really want to get to a point where I don't get the riled up feelings and can just voice my frustrations without the physical feelings popping up. Am I on the right track . . . any advice on doing things different? Thanks y'all. |

I think that everyone gets physical feelings when we get angy. But just think--you did control yourself and spoke calmly and did not let the anger get the best of you. I think you did great!!!!! It's normal to get angry, we all do, but you didn't let it get the best of you! Congrats!!!!
