As I write this, I am SO angry. There are these ARROGANT neighbors who live in the apartment next door to us [ I live with my parents. ] For years and years now, my parents who are in the 60's cannot get much sleep because these neighbors BLAST their stereo right thru our wall. You can hear these drum sounds, and sometimes it goes on all night long. They are alcoholics and they used to throw these all night beer bashes practically right outside my parents window. My parents are so nice to them, but they are rude. We've tried everything - writing them a letter asking them to turn their music down at night, we've called the police to ask them to turn it out, but then after the police left, they would turn it right back up again. We've tried pounding on the walls to let them know it's too loud, but they don't care. We have to turn on these loud fans in our apartment during the night to help drown out some of the sounds of their stereo, but you can still hear it. I told my dad I wanted to put my radio right up against their wall during the DAYTIME while THEY'RE trying to sleep and turn it up loud to let them know what it sounds like while WE are trying to sleep, but my dad refuses to let me do that. My parents are SICK OF IT, but they just don't know how to deal with it. We thought about moving, but we own this unit, and my mom has worked so hard to remodel the place. My dad says they aren't gonna drive us out of here - we were here FIRST ! There's been many many OTHER problems they've caused us too. Like there used to be this dog over there that would bark all night long [ they aren't even supposed to HAVE a dog there. ]We've tried calling the landlord, but they always get away with everything it seems. I am SO ANGRY, I'm getting anxiety just thinking about it. How does one deal with this situation ? Thank you for letting me vent.
