HI ALL!I'm hoping that someone can relate and possibly help give me some advice. I have been in a long term relationship with a wonderful man and ive never been happier in a relationship. He treats me sooo good! and ive just recently in the past couple of months been dealing with some pretty heavy anxiety and depression. My boyfriend thinks that these conditions are just in my head, and I just need to cheer up. I snap at him all the time and attack him for no reason. How do I let him know I need his supprt ?What kind of techniques can I use to calme down before I say things I dont mean?

I have a wonderful husband of 10 years, but I think they have a hard time understanding what we are going thru. Just keep talking to him about what you are feeling and let him know how important his support of you is....

The more I tell my husband about what I'm feeling, the more he is relating it to how he has felt at different times. After all, we all have anxieties.

Being explosive isn't normal for me, but I do have times that it is happening. I find it happens more and more as my anxieties or frustrations increase. I try to use the breathing techniques to calm down and really pay attention to the negative self talk. It doesn't always work, but it has helped. If I do explode at my husband, I do apologize and try to explain the feelings behind it at the moment. He has been very understanding and appreciative of the apology.

I'm new at this too, but hope it helps.
