The only time I really experience anger is when I feel like I am on track and then I feel myself slipping for some reason wether its negative thinking, or just feel like i'm doing lousy i start to get angry, and then getting angry scares me which makes the anger and anxiety even worse. I try to calm myself down but I was wondering if anyone else had any similar situations?
Thanks

Hi Phil, I can relate. Last week I started to slip from the program. Also, my doctor gave me the wrong meds, and I was relapsing. I couldn't understand why, since I'd been doing so well the first 5 weeks.

Well, I turned the whole situation around. I thought to myself, "I've been on hardly any meds for the last week, and I survived!" I turned my negative situation into a positive situation and was no longer angry. I truly felt so much better, and the anxiety subsided.

I know this takes practice, and change takes time, but WE can do it!!!

God bless, Suz Wink

Phil ~

I definitely get very anxious after I've allowed my anger to get out of control! I usually try to do breathing but it's definitely easier said than done, especially because I have a bad temper.

Through the program I have learned to control my emotions a little better & am progressing, but there are always times when I have set backs.

You definitely aren't alone, and like Suz said change takes time and practice, but WE CAN DO IT!

Cheers.

Glad to here from others about this issue I can relate, when I get really angry my anxiety goes through the roof I tried breathing too just doesnt do it for me.I am on lesson 4 and I think I began to realize this week that anger is a real issue for me. I guess Sux is right practice, I also am really trying to journal it let's just say at the beginning of the week my journal from anger would be rated R. Thanks for the input it's good to know I am not alone in this.
