I am feeling down today. I think it was related to not sleeping well last night. I am trying to learn not to take some of the thoughts I am having today so seriously. Depression is not a usual problem for me so I am trying to just float through today.

I think you can occasionally feel down without being depressed. When I feel like that I try to identify what caused me to feel that way. What was I thinking about? I try to write in a journal, then get busy and do something, to distract myself. I also do the relaxation tape before I go to bed. I try to think if I was having a lot of negative self talk. I write down the negative messages and turn them into something positive.

You are right. Still, sleep is everything. IF you don't get it, it is hard to feel up!

Hi Mikto,
When I feel I cant sleep I take Melatonin. It seems to help me quite a bit. I know when I dont sleep well I feel more down than usual. |
