I just started this program Sunday. And in following the guidebook in session 1, I want to find a good motivational book. Does any one have any suggestions on some good ones? The ones I find on the internet is for managers working with employees. Thank you for your help in this matter.
The Stress Center has one that follows each of the sessions called "Attacking Anxiety Spiritual Workbook". It's about $20 and is available through the Stress Center. I ordered a copy today. It's a God-centered program and has uplifting quotes and explanations. Sort of a day by day devotional guide. I'll let you know what I think when I get it.

Thank you MatthewM & Pecos for your help. Pecos I will take a look at that website and Matthew do let me know about what you think of the book from Midwest Center.
I just started the program this week. i actually bought it in 2004 and never cracked it open. I found it interesting that for some reason I was drawn to read small portions of my devotional bible even before I read the suggestion of picking up a motivational book. I'm not particulary religious but find it helps with reflecting...
Thank you atw I will give that a try also. You can never have too many motivational books.I have a small one I always used when thinking about the son I lost 1 week before he was born.
I am reading Click: Ten Truths for Building Extraordinary Relationships by George C. Fraser. It is a combination personal and business motivational book. I am a business owner and I need to work on my interpersonal skills and ramp up my self-esteem. So, this book seems to fit the bill.
I like anything by Louise Hayes. I have her cd's I listen to that have positive affirmations. She is awesome. I put her cd in my player and listen to it almost every night while I sleep. If you're Christian, I found Joel Osteen's book to be uplifting. Also, The Secret DVD is very good to help all people with negative thinking! I should watch that everyday until my mind trains to think positively. Good luck

I also purchased this program yearrrrrrrrrs ago, but before DVD's and CD's were available. I never completed it. My panic went away and my life went on and now my panic is back with a vengeance and I've been through several moves since then so I've had to repurchase it. By the way, Hi,my name is Shelby and I guess this is my introduction to the boards.
Blessings~

I just finished listening to the audio book Knit Together by Debbie Macomber. It was well read and well written. It helped me think through some items. It is based on faith and a relationship with God...but I didn't realize that when I began listening. I recommend this audio book.

I have found that Christian radio, especially the Southern Gospel stations, really help me to focus on reaching for help outside myself, to the One who has all the answers... WLRD in Ohio is a great station, hour after hour of uplifting, encouraging music,,, songs about the storms of life, about fear that everyone faces, about our heavenly Father, and how He longs for us to turn to Him and to trust Him to bring good out of even our most difficult struggles... I found a small new testament Bible, and in the back it has verses to read when you are "Discouraged", "Lonely", "Afraid" etc, at night before I go to bed, I read through several of them, I leave it open on my night stand and sleep soundly through the night, what a blessing! "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, who mind is stayed on thee: because he trutesth in thee." "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou Lord, only makest me to dwell in safety." I love the old King James version,,, it has such beauty and strength in the words, try it! Blessings, Fairlight

I am reading 'Discovering The Power of Positive Thinking' by Norman Vincent Peale and Ruth Stafford Peale. It is very easy reading and the authors include Bible affirmations. I find the book very uplifting.
