It has me scared

I Just feel out of control since the economy blew up. I am not in a secure position with lots of reserves, and am trying to sell real estate. It just seems to me that things will just get worse and worse. This seems to be confirmed by the news every day.

I am so scared about money. Honestly I probably think about it at least 75% of my day. I don't have the most stable job either, I work for a smaller family owned company and they lay people off at the drop of a hat. We have credit card debt, and the money coming in really isn;t enough to solve the cc problem. Both my husband and myself have been out of work at times the last few years and trying to play catch up is awful. I almost want to try filing bankruptcy, but I dont want to ruin the rest of my financial life.

I think it has a lot of people worried right now. I retired early from state service in Calif. and need some part time work but can't find anything here. I think Lucinda's new CD program talks about dealing with the anxiety over the economy. It's kind of hard to figure out how to deal with this because it's unlike anything a lot of us have gone through. I keep thinking that if my parents made it through the great depression and were ok, we can make it through this.

Money or the lack of has always caused me anxiety. I would say I have serious issues with money. I always buy things I can't afford, then feel guilty. Whenever I get a bonus or an income tax refund I always lose control. Every year I say I'm going to do better and each year I fail. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have some of the same problems with money and anxiety. There is so much that i want to do but I am afraid to spend my money..I go on little spending sprees here and there and then I feel guilty and wished that I did not spend it. I keep waiting for things to happen (I am a single mom of two boys, whom I have sole custody of and I am afraid that their fathers are going to come after me for custody so I want to make sure that I have enough money in case that happens, which I know it won't) I hoping that through the program, I can learn how to deal with this and overcome it.
