Anyone else suffer from hives? I started breaking out in hives about three months ago. After a battery of medical tests, I am convinced my hives are stress-induced.

I "control" them now with Zyrtec, but still have breakthrough hives occasionally. I have ordered an herbal remedy online that I am going to try next in conjunction with this program. I'm hoping once I get through the entire program, my stress will be reduced, thereby eliminating the hives.

I would love to hear anyone else's story that has dealt with hives - YUCK!!!

Hi Amy,
I do break out in hives ocassionally, usually just a couple pop up so I never went to the doctor for it and they go away in a few hrs. They always pop up in the same spots and my therapist told me she believes it is stress-induced. My mom breaks out pretty badly if she eats too much shellfish so I know it can be an allergic reaction and she'll take prednisone, but I'm inclined to say yours would be stress-induced! I dont know how severe yours are, but I try not to think about it and if it ever gets too bad I'm positive there are meds you can take during a breakout.

Hi, Amy,
I used to have that problem for about 10 years. It only happened occasionally, but it was SO clearly stress (usually I was in a war zone, being harrassed by soldiers or listening to helicopters and bombs), I didn't have to ask anyone about it. I always got breakouts all around my mouth. It was very embarrassing. I haven't had the problem in 15 years, though I have had lots of stress. Who knows why?
Cheers,
Artie
