Has it helped you, can you do your normal day to day stuff, or are you a walking zombie??

Wondering if you even notice that your taking it?

This is not the regular xanax, this is the time released one I am asking about.

Hello!I'm on Xanax xr.I take 1mg three times a day.It does help but believe it or not I still have some panic at times and anxiety while on it.It does not make me not be able to function.I can function fine.I've been taking it for over two years.Because it releases slowly you don't even notice it.You'll just feel like you are a little more calm.I know that this seems like a high dose but you have to remember it slowly goes into your system.I'm on three a day because It would only last about 12 hour for me.When it wore off my panic would be through the roof!Taking the dose that I do now keeps it steady in my system.I hate relying on meds but it has helped me and I've been able to make alot of good progress.Hope this helps.Take care!

Thanks for the info. Im glad you have so much experience with this med. I have never taken any meds for my panic and anxiety so this is a little scary for me. The reason I am considering the xanax is because I am limited to what I can do, like traveling with my family (for the Holidays) and work wise I have to drive to other sites sometimes. I feel like one of those people who thinks they dont have a problem but everyone else knows you do. Im pretty comfortable with not doing things anymore. Does anyone else feel like that?? Anyway Im gonna try the xanax and see how it works for me.

I've heard it is addicting, is this true??

Hello!Yes the Xanax can be addicting.I take what my DR. has prescribed and I refuse to up the dose even though some days I'd like too.Just make sure that you don't up your doses without consenting with your Dr.I was told though that the extended release is supposed to be less addicting.I'm sure that it will help you.Just remember to keep working on your skills because this med is just a bandaid.I hope you feel better!Take care!
