Does anyone else experience anxiety over body image? I am realizing this has been a massive problem for me since I was a teenager. And with today's obsession with youth and a perfect body image, it makes the anxiety and diseased thinking worse for me. I am okay for the most part with who I am as a person on the inside but my warped view of how I see my physical form effects my relationship with others greatly. Is it just me? And will this program help with this type of anxiety?

Hi Beth, I'm hopeful that this program will HELP with the type of anxiety that you're talking about. Everyone goes through different degrees of insecurities when it comes to their body image, some more than others. I wish you much success beth and hope this program will HELP you to realize what a beautiful person you really are!!!

Beth,

I too have severe body image problems, always have. It seems that I am never happy with the way I look. I hate buying clothes because I can't stand to see myself in the mirror.

I am beginning to see wrinkles and I am freaked out. I hope this program will addresses my body anxiety. The older I get the worse it becomes.

Hello! Yes, I have a severe problem with body image. I was really small in high school and now that I have been in college for 4 years I have put on 40 pounds that I constantly try to get off, but it doesn't seem to be working. I have also had ex boyfriends who have told me I look "too ugly" or "fat" etc. I am only going into my third week on the program but i think that this will help with all types of anxiety, including body image. Good luck!

I believe that body image is a problem for everyone, men and women.
I know it's a complete pit of despair for me. However, through this program, we can combat our body image problems - perhaps even loose some weight - and possibly resolve the issue.
Consider that our body image problems are a result of thoughts - negative thoughts.

I am sorry that others also suffer from the same problems but it helps knowing I am not alone. Listening to the first session made me realize that I have experienced anxiety from the time I was very young. I am also seeing how the anxiety has effected so many, if not every, aspect of my life. I do hope this is the answer to so many prayers. And I thank you all for the support and encouragement.

Yeah... why do we always worry about what people think? Good topic to delve into. I can't remember a time in my life when I didn't struggle with my body image. I am 32, 5'6' and 210 lbs. My husband loves my body, and has told me that for the last 10 years. Why don't I believe him? Probably the negative self talk I've used forever.
STEPHI - I am also on my third week. I'm hoping that losing the anxiety and depression helps me finally lose the weight, too. I've tried everything else including a BS degree in Health and Wellness.
Keep on keepin' on everyone. It's the new year and the time for a fresh start. I'm going to cut back even more on sugar and bad carbs......
