Vicky~

Hi! Goals are anything you would like to do at some point. That could be grocery shopping by yourself, running 3 miles a day, driving long distances, going to school, whatever. They can be simple goals or long terms goals. As far as the spaciness, I had that years ago when I had panic attacks. I called it "unreality" because the feeling made me feel like I was out of my body or just not in this atmosphere. I haven't experienced this in years so I know it does go away. When you feel the spaciness, remember this...
A bad moment doesn't = A bad hour
A bad hour doesn't = A bad day
A bad day doesn't = A bad week
A bad week doesn't= A bad month

This means that just becuase your day starts off badly it doesn't have to continue badly. It only does it we make it so. I hope this little bit of information helps you along.

Silvanna Thanks so much for the reply. It really helps when you know you are not alone.Sounds like you are really doing well. I am having a lot of trouble sleeping and can really relate to the lady in this tape.

God bless ,

Vicky

Vicky~

Have you tried "Sweet Dreams" tea (I think Bigelow makes it) or "Sleepy Time" by Lipton? They are just herbal teas that help to relax you. Also, health food stores have Valerian tea. Valerian is an herb that help to relax and promote sleep. I haven't tried it but I have heard it helps. There is a website called wholeperson.com that has some excellent relaxations tapes. I have Natural Tranquilizers and Calm Down. I think they are like $15 each and well worth it. When I am feeling not quite tired enough to sleep, I put on one of the tapes and I am out. I know things will even out, they will. You can get past this rough patch.

Take care-silvana

Vicky,
I get that spacy feeling lots. Or lightheaded, dizzy. It used to really freak me out - "What if I pass out?" But now I tell myself it's only stress and I practice my breathing. That usually nips it in the bud. It's just a sign of stress.

Have you set any goals?

Vicky,
Spacey feelings truly are just a result of anxiety and panic. The won't hurt you and they will go away. They stick around because you give them energy by worrying "what if I pass out"... You aren't going to pass out, fall over, etc. Once you know this they will have no power over you and will go away. Like panic attacks these feelings really won't hurt you and nobody but you knows your are feeling them. People are too focused on themselves to worry about your issues....unfortunately or fortunately, however you choose to look at it. You are going to be fine, I know it because I've been there, done that, so to speak.
