Trapped in hell and I can't leave. That's what I feel like. I think I have always suffered from anxiety but I went into depression when we moved.
We moved out of my "fears" for the children. I liked our old house. I knew I didn't really want to move well before the moving date. However, I had lost control legally speaking. Well, my "fears" have followed. I know what Lucinda says when she never do anything out of fear. Now, I'm someplace I'm not sure I want to be feeling trapped and scared.

I have thought about moving again. However, I'm sacred of moving. It was a nightmare. I'm not even sure its the right thing. I have a feeling the biggest thing I'm running from is on the inside.

I pray I can work through this. Words of encouragement would be appreciated.

Nancy,
I've felt that same way before. Gotten myself into something then felt overwhelmed by the fear.

I really like what you said I have a feeling the biggest thing I'm running from is on the inside. .

Maybe some thought replacement would help you to make the best out of this move and overcome your fears for your children.

You are a strong person just for living with anxiety and panic, so I know you have the strength to handle this change and overcome your fears.

I am saying a prayer for you right now. I have faith in you. Hang in there

nnancy,

I can't help but think of "fight or flight" when I read your post. Adrenaline pumping through your body will make you feel this way but the interesting thing is that it is your mind that is creating this situation.

Up for a little demo? Close your eyes (ok, that makes reading the rest of this a little difficult so open them Big Grin ) and in your mind's eye picture a lemon. Look at the bright yellow color. See the texture of the rind. Feel the texture of the rind. Make the lemon as real as possible in your mind. Now in your mind's eye, take a knife and cut the lemon in half. Feel the knife as it cuts through the rind and the pulp. See the juice run out. Smell the lemon scent. Now take a big bite out of the lemon.

Your mouth is watering, isn't it? This is an example of how powerful suggestion is to your mind. Your body is reacting as if the lemon were real, even though it is not - your mind can't tell the difference.

Try to identify what other stressors are present in your life (other than moving) and deal with them. If you don't, they are liable to just "lurk" outside of your concious thought and cause you these feelings.

Give yourself a big hug and I hope you get out of your personal hell.

Great advice, Patti and Phoenix!
I especially love the part about the lemon, and how real (and physical) we can make a simple thought.
The power of our minds is so great...

Nancy, they gave you great food for thought, but I will add:
YOU CAN OVERCOME THIS!
YOU ARE WORTHY OF THE CHANGE!
and, most importantly,
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Always remember that YOU CAN DO THIS.

Keep the faith,
Elle

Thanks for the replies. I can safely say I was in the midst of an anxiety attack when I wrote this. I appreciate all your replies. I think I can better too. However, it sure helps to have a little support at times. God bless you all.
