I don't drive, but I did have my learner's about four to five years ago. Now I've notied that I am really anxious being in the passenger side of my boyfriend's car...for example:

I believe that I have been doing pretty well, but last night my boyfriend and I went to Red Lobster and I just wanted to run in the opposite direction. Thank God we weren't there long and returned home, but then today at work, I just feel very anxious...just from seating at my desk doing my work like any other day. Is anyone else experiencing this and if so, please write back soon. Confused

Hi Alf~

I can relate to what you wrote having felt that before. You weren't desrciptive so I am not sure what you need as far as support. Do you always have anxiety? Are you using the Midwest Centers program? Are you on amy meds? How long have you had anxiety? You aren't alone. Everyone on this board knows what if feels like. I used to have anxiety all the time and panic attackts too. I still have some anxiety(driving or riding in cars) but I know that it isn't going to hurt me and I can usually relax and release it. When I can't or when I have to do something that usually triggers my anxiety I use Xanax. There are lots of things you can do to help yourself, you just have to try and see what works. Like I said, you aren't alone.
