Hi all,
I have a great accomplishment to share with you. I stood up to my boss! There was a meeting for the United Way and they where sort of making it seem like it was mandatory to go and also to donate money, so I said to him, "I don't want to go, I really don't have any desire to find out what there organization is about, especially when I have no plans on giving them money". I don't think charity is a bad thing, but I do give money to other donations, and even still, thats my choice. Most the people went to the meeting, probaly because they were too afraid to say no. I feel so proud of myself for saying no. I rejoice at the words of my boss, "well I guess he told me".

Thanks Reena, I appreciate the support. I hope that you've gotten something out of it too.

Good for you. I am proud of you for your accomplishment and you should be proud of yourself. Oftentimes it is so difficult for many of us to say what we mean and mean what we say. But you seem to be getting the hang of it

Congrats on supporting the decision you made and having the guts to express your feelings to your boss.
