I was wondering if anyone has similiar symptoms. I have constant cramps which feel like menstrual cramps. I also get the urge to go to the bathroom often and sometimes have diarrhea. I also have acid reflux which sometimes make me vomit. Someone suggested that I many have IBS. I'm afraid to get tested though. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I have had similar experiences (minus the menstrual cramp experience!) I have not been diagnosed with IBS but have realised that a lot of my issues stem from Anxiety which I have been masking with alcohol - I too would like to know if this is IBS

What you are describing sounds very much like IBS. When I have a bout with it I do get cramping. My mother has had IBS as long as I can remember. These are things I've found that help. Beware of things like celery and squash that are very high fiber. They can aggravate the problem. Take a probiotic (acidophilus) I take Pro-bio Gold from Metagenics. You should choose a probiotic that needs to be refrigerated since it the bacteria in them is more effective. The new yogurts are also helpful like Activia. I also take Ultra Clear Plus daily and one dose of Metamucil. I rarely have problems anymore.

I wish you the very best!

Thanks for the response.I appreciate any suggestions from people who experience these symptoms. Especially the cramps because it seems so strange that they don't feel like I ate something that disagrees with me. It just feels like cramps.

I haven't posted in a while but here is a update. I finally went the doctor to get checked out. Turns out it wasn't IBS. They did an endocopy and found a lot of inflammation and a hiatel hernia. They said I need to put more fiber in my diet and avoid certain foods. I'm going to try but it won't be easy.
