Hi Everyone,
I am not experiencing this now, but I have pondered this over my years with anxiety.... How do you differentiate between REAL symptoms of something that could be wrong and panic attack/anxiety body symptoms??? I suppose that if its just anxiety it will go away, and if its real... than it wont? I am interested in hearing thoughts on this if anyone would like to respond. |

Wow! That is one of my main concerns!! I always wonder how I will know if its the real thing or if its just a sensation. What I tell myself is that like you mentioned if its real it won't go away. But then again if the anxiety is still present then the symptom will stay and especially if it is in your mind. Like I have had this feeling that I can't breathe good for a long time but it stays there because I think about it. Its nothing in reality though.

I would err on the side of caution and go to see a doctor for any serious bodily sensations that don't seem to go away or cannot be abated by deep breathing and relaxation. Better to be given a clean bill of health than to obsess. Just my .02c. Be Well~ Shelby |

yes, I totally agree Shelby, but I think thats why 'we' as anxiety sufferers go to the doctors so much. Our hypochondria and keen attention to the way we 'feel', sends us to the doctor for every ache, pain, headache, or other sensation.
Just curious as to what others were thinking on the topic. Thanks for your responses |
