My attacks started 2 years ago, and I was very scared because i was driving. I thought I could get over this on my own but instead it got worse. everytime I know I have to drive anywhere, I brask outinto cold sweat my heart start beating fast and I am a total mess. I eally want ot ocntro this feeling, I really hope this program can help. Can someone just give me some fed back or some encouragment that this can work for me. I really need my life back.

YES IT CAN AND WILL..It has been a Godsend for me and thousands of others. BUT!!!! You MUST use it as it is to be used, take time with each session, do the reading and assignments and DO THE JOURNALING!! Each session will give you the life changing skills and tools to help you work through your issues..no matter how bad the issues are. You may need to do some sessions several times as there is a lot to take in. Do them as many times as you need to. It's not a race to finish, everyone is different, some find they feel overwhelmed or more anxious at the beginning, this is normal so don't fear it. Post and reply as much as you can, this helps you and others who are doing this program. We are all in this toether and need to help each other as much as possible. It's a self help program but the forums are an integral part of this journey. Be kind to yourself, be greatfull for each accomplishment you make, don't beat yourself up if you something hasn't gone as you wanted it to. Praise yourself often. Hugs! Yes, this program really helps with this. I used to panic at just the thought of driving also and couldn't even drive 1/4 mile without having a major panic attack. It got to the point that I didn't go anywhere by myself and even when my husband was driving I was a nervous passenger and he preferred me sleeping on long trips. While working on the program I took it step by step in getting myself back in the car, driving. I also purchased (about $10) the driving CD from the MWC. Before every drive in the car, I'd listen to CD#3 and then take it, or the driving CD along for the ride. I basically had Lucinda or Carolyn chatting to me in the car during the whole process of getting to the point of driving with comfort. Gradually, I weened myself off of the CD's while driving. Driving wasn't the only time I used to have the panic attacks. They came on every day, several times a day. I too was a "mess". You'll get your life back. Just take it easy on yourself and congratulate yourself every step along the way! It's VERY important to tell ourselves as often as possible that we're working on overcoming this and getting there. It may be baby steps, but we do. Be very generous with the compliments to yourself, be your own best, encouraging friend. Don't beat yourself up if you have a rough moment on the road. Hello ricki61!! Yes I believed that the programme will help you. I'm just started the programme and I feel that this gonna help me and I was in a really "mess". I have the anxiety and depression during almost my hole life but I haven't have a name on it from now and I haven't had any tools to work with it. My doctor has prescribe antidepressive medications but no advice how to handle this so I have tried my own way during many years but I always have anxiety and this made me depressed. With the programme it start a new way to handle this but we have to be patient the change come in small steps and we must take good care of ourselves and I think nice small talks to myself helps. What helps me is that I know I'm not alone with this problem before I started the programme I think I was the only person who is so "strange
