I am one of those people that are good at hiding emotions. When I am asked if I am depressed the answer is no not really, I am surpressed because I am not able to do the things that a "normal" person can. How do you know if you are depressed deep down inside? does anyone know what I am saying? My life is not a bed of roses I push through every day with the anxiety but I manage. I don't laugh as much as I used to because me and my hubby don't see eye to eye. That doesn't mean i am depressed or am I. I do bury things down inside but I deal with them.

There are some fairly good evaluations, probably available free online, which ask you a series of questions. If you answer Yes to a specific number of those question, you will be told you are probably depressed. Have you discussed this with your doctor? I hope you are not depressed, but if you are, there are tools (this program is excellent) to walk you out and teach you how not to dwell there. Kind regards, Pecos

the best way to find out if you are truly(clinically)depressed is to do some type of evaluation or see your doctor about it. Maybe a full physical exam may help,if you havn't had one in a while.? I know for me,I had bouts of depression sometimes, many years ago,and when I told this to my psychiatrist,he gave me some trial free anti-depressants to try. Well, they didn't work that well on me. I felt like this real wierd feeling like "climbing the walls"syndrom. Now there's so many anti-depressants out there. All different types, and how they react depends on the individual. I know for me now. I can't really tell if I'm truly depressed. I'm off of my anti-depressants now. And,it's not completely by choice. I don't feel dependant on them. I don't have a lot of "get-up and go"though. I'm sort of in a mild"I don't feel like...."phase.Well,help this information helps and hope the best for you.
