I finally got an appointment to fill out forms for insurance, for people with little or no income and out of work. Not only that, but the appointment is for intake evaluation of where I am at on anxiety, and if any, depression.I don't know if I see the doctor that day,but it's a start. It's at a clinic that specializes for people with behavior health issues(lots of times in past refered as mental health issues)I guess the name still can apply to some degree today.? I hope other people read this that they too, will search and get the right help. This program is suppose to be good, but one should see a doctor and even therapy(if needed)if one can't hardly function very well in life. Right now I'm out of work, and I wonder if I can even hold a job with my conditions? Those meds can make you so tired. Then,I turn around and drink coffee(hot or iced)and high energy drinks,to keep me going real quick, when that's not my actual speed. I don't get panick attacks, but I can feel even more highly anxious in high volume traffic. I think caffein is the culprit.I'll write about that and more,as I get to the session about meds or is it,diet & exercise.?

First off NO CAFFEINE, no energy shots, none of it. YES it is the reason for probably a ton of your anxiety. I am sensitive to meds, and was put on 2mg of Klonopin a day with Lexapro. I took .5mg in the am, .5mg noonish, and 1mg at bedtime with my Lexapro (10mgs). Yes, it made me sleepy for a few days, but at about a week, the sleepyness was gone, and the calm was still there. And Klonopin is pretty strong. But I have cut out all caffeine, most sugars (hypoglycemia can also be a huge culprit in anxiety and panic feelings). Its now been about 4 months, I am so much better, so my doc and I have begun my wean down off the Klonopin. I am down to 1mg a day in broken doses, and feeling wonderful. Be positive, you've taken a huge step, and pat yourself on the back for it. Best of luck and keep us posted.

One day at a time is the fastest we can go......

I had not too bad of anxiety today. I drove to 2 different stores and in traffic. I know I need to get off the caffein, and I will, besides energy drinks. I drink 2 mugs of coffee in the morning and at times, hot or iced coffee in the late afternoon or evening time.Evenings has to stop,as it gives me bad dreams.I fall asleep o.k. though. I can't quit cold turkey on caffein,so I will wean it down or off slowly. I like coffee,so I wonder if de-caff would be o.k.eventually.?There's hardly minute traces,of it in the coffee,as they process most of the caffein out. And I can deal with chocalate,I mean not eating it,as it has some caffein in it. I don't drink regular tea too much,so I don't think it will be any problem. Sugars I can cut out.Honey should be o.k.? It's a natural form of sugar.Oh,and they do have a 50/50 type coffee, that's only half the caffein, for those people that want to cut back,or wean off caffein.I've tried it some time ago,and tastes like regular stuff.
