I've been trying to utilize the six steps this week. I haven't had any major panic attacks, just some mild anxiety. I do have a lot of negative thinking but I'm trying to counter it with positive thoughts. I am looking forward to Session 3.

Has anyone had trouble with the relaxation cd? I know it helps but I haven't been listening to it as often as I should. I have to start making myself listen to it!

I think as long as your doing your sessions and you continue through your progress you should be ok. As a anxious person or someone who has panick attacks its very hard to relax cause your body just simply doesnt do it..anyways thats my case. Try and get it in but dont beat yourself up for not doing it. I dont think I listen to it as much as I should either and still feel that I am getting some benifits out of the sessions so to each there ownSmiler

Thanks for the reply, Precillia. I decided to spend an extra week on Session 2 so that I could get more out of it before moving on.

Hi! The smae thing is happening to me..I haven't had any real panic attacks since I've been using the 6 steps, but it takes a lot of effort..I haven't had many problems with the relaxation cd, but I don't listen to it as much as I should either..I'll work on it, though. Remember that we're in this TOGETHER. If you have trouble relaxing, try listening to it only a few minutes at a time and add a couple of minutes each day. A year ago even reading about relaxation gave me anxiety! but now I can lay down and relax for hours..it'll get better!!
Love always,
Princess_OF_Light

PD: reading the bible really helps. Give it a try.
