Well I think my computer is FINALLY fixed and back to normal.
We started this exercise challenge a few weeks ago and I was just wondering how everybody has been doing? I read that a few of you wanted to one day run a 5K. I think that is wonderful! I found a program a while back ago which I started using that had me there in as little as 9 weeks and without injury. Thought I would share it with all of you because it is a nice and slow program, that will introduce you to execise you possibly thought you could never achieve. If I an obese non exerciser could finish the program I am not kidding you anybody can. The download of timed running music is free for your ipod. The official Couch to 5K (C25K) site can be found here: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml The C25K podcast can be found here: http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcasts/podcasts/podcasts.html So how did everyone do on there exercise this week? I used my elliptical this week twice and parked at a distance from the store on some occasions just so I could walk in. I think it clears my mind during exercise, things don't seem to be so stressful even when I do start thinking about things that could possibly worry me during my workout. Best part is, I seem to sleep better at night and have stopped using sleeping pills completely since I started the program and exercising. It did not happen overnight but it did happen. See ya around |

I couldn't agree more. Exercise really clears the mind. Probably when first struggling, best not to set goals too high as you'll probably find every excuse not to do this for yourself - coming up with every reason why there are other more important things that need to be accomplished. Trust me, there is nothing more important than doing whatever it takes to make yourself feel better. The side effect of this is - you actually accomplish those other things and more
