We are supposed to quit coffee and other stimulants. So I am doing my best to comply. In doing so, my breathing problems are becoming more pronounced. If I use my inhaler, the stimulant in it over stimulates me and stresses me to a near anxiety attack. I don't know if I can give up my coffee. With it, I don't need the inhaler. With out it, I have begun having breathing trouble. Whic stimulant is the worse? the one tat gives me the shakes when i use it or the coffee? What do I do?

Hi Dana Sue, may I make a suggestion? I went through the program 2 years ago and instead of cutting coffee out all at once take it down in steps. Cut out a cup once a day for awhile then take another cup out the next week and so forth. Once your anxiety/depression is under control you'll know how many cups you can have per day without any harm to your system.

Mine wasn't coffee, it was iced tea. Smiler I drank more tea in one day than most people drink coffee, tea, soda, and water combined. Now I drink one glass a day and feel great.

Moderation is one of the keys that you will learn along the way.

Hello Dana Sue,
I now drink decaffeinated coffee & that seems to have helped a lot & that way I can still have my cup or two of coffee a day. Even though decaf may have a little caffeine in it, it is still a lot less that regular coffee.
Goof luck,
Triple”L”

Liz29, David** and triple"L" Thank you for your responses. I am using albuterol. When I have 2 cups of coffee a day, Weak enough to see the spoon in the bottom of the cup, I don't seem to need the inhaler. until I exert my self though. Thanks for the suggestion about decaf, but my kidney doctor told me I should avoid that all together.
If moderation is ok, then I will probably be fine.
Once again, Thank you.
