I listened to session two today. I found some areas in which I connected with so I am hoping for improvements in those areas as time goes on. While in session one I did appear to touch on session two by doing something I have never done before.
Last week for the first time ever, I plugged in my GPS and drove to six different thrift stores all by myself. Nobody in the car, just me alone. I drove to parts of town I have never visited in the entire 30+ years I have lived in town. Some places made me feel uncomfortable at first but not because of panic but more or less because of the unstable surrounding. Yet and still I had no "fear". For some reason in the past I had always told myself, "If you venture off and something happens then people will wonder why you were there in the first place if something happens." Anyway I ended up having a great day out and about and faced my fear of just doing stuff out of my norm and on my own. Yippppeeeeeeee, love those small steps because they all add up. |
