Hello, There is a book called, "Who moved my cheese?" By Spencer Johnson. It is actually about management or relate to job or whatever. But the more I think about the story in that book. It can applied to people who are having anxiety and depression. Only if you anaysis the meaning behind the story. Wonder if anyone ever read this book and could applied it to anxiety/depression.

That is a good book! And I hadn't thought of it being applied to this, but it can be. Having your "cheese moved" can set off a lot of anxiety and depression. My big thing is when things happen that I have no control over, I start to freak and feel helpless. I need to learn to go with the flow better! I read this book a couple years ago when it was given to me by a friend, I think I need to read it again! Thanks!

yeah i agree.. I consider cheese move and you go with new cheese is a new success that you did with anxiety and depression

For one of chacater who didnt willing to move, I applied that to people who is agrophobic, or people who fear of change or, people not do anything with anxiety.

Maze through to search for new cheese consider people who is working to make processing and go through working deal with anxiety and found cheese is their reward of success. That is why I start to feel that book can applied to anxiety and depression world!

I haven't read the book but I have the book on tape. It was recommended to me by someone here a while ago and I would send along the recommendation. I loved the characters and hearing them on tape can really bring them to life. And yes, I think it's great for those suffering from anxiety and depression.

Hi BePositive,
Yes, that is a great book for those struggling with anxiety disorder and depression. Someone recommended it here awhile back and I read it. I thought it was a wonderful little book. Smiler In fact just recently I saw it mentioned on a real estate forum for people that had a fear of pushing through their fears in regards to moving forward with their business. Many people have fears of failure and success in every avenue of life that one can imagine. And many of us need that little bit of encouragement to help us make that first step forward to break through the wall of anticipatory anxiety. Smiler

Hi Craw,
I can only imagine how being able to hear that book on tape would bring those characters to life. Can I borrow it? Wink

Grateful,
Git your own copy. Wink Big Grin Hey, did you know Mike and Nick listened to it too and they thought it was great.

Amazon.com still sells both the book and the book on tape if anyone is interested in it. It's even less expensive than when I ordered it and I thought it was well worth the money then.

Hi Craw,
After I posted I thought "I bet Christine let Nicky listen to that story and he most probably loved it". Smiler I was right and you even had your hubby listen to it. Smiler I'm going to look into ordering it, since you won't let me borrow yours. Razzer Wink Thanks for letting me/us know where we can get it.
Have a good weekend! Smiler

Hi everyone!
My son's therapist recommended the "Who Moved the Cheese" book to him. I also read it and thought it was wonderful and applied to those of us with panic and anxiety. I also recommended it to a few friends and we discussed who we thought we were in the story. Good Luck to you all!
