I wanted to recommend the book, "Whispers of Love in Seasons of Fear" by Terry Wardle. I read this book in the past year and it is really good. He offers some wonderful insights and I felt very loved by God (something that I tend to struggle with). He is a paster and struggled with anxiety and panic attacks. He worried about having a heart attack and was agoraphobic. He said that he would not go anywhere unless his wife was with him, and even then he had the anxiety. My sister had the opportunity (she also has anxiety) to speak with him for an hour or so in his office as her husband is friends with Mr. Wardle's son. Mr. Wardle is also a counselor and a professor at Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio. However, he speaks gently to the reader as a friend, not as someone speaking down to the reader.
Anyhow, in his book, he also recommends Lucinda's book "From Panic to Power". This book is an excellent read and I took LOTS of notes while reading it. It's 174 pages, and at the end of each chapter, he lists questions for reflection and review. Now that I am getting a little better (I''m finishing up week #2) I think I will read his book again as I am sure I will find new insights now.

I hope that you can get the book. I get some great books at cheap prices on half.com. When my sister said that she was going to call Terry about talking with him, she told me that she was nervous about calling him because she said that he is a big, strong guy, about 6'4". I guess when I see big guys like that, I never think about them having anxiety or anything. I don't know why, I guess they just appear to be able to take care of themselves and not worry about anyone or anything bothering them! My sister said that he was totally great and he didn't charge her a thing for their session and actually told her that she was more than welcome to come back and talk to him.

Anyone know where to find this book at list price?
Everywhere I have looked it is 70-80 bucks??
I really think this is a book I need to read but money is tight right now and that is ALOT for a book....

Wow, I can't believe that the book is that much! I checked on www.allbookstores.com and since the book is out of print, most of the bookstores have outlandish prices for it. However, amazon.ca says that they may have it. You can go to this link http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/080079267X/ref%3D.../701-8575926-3101131
and try to order it. If they can't find it for you, they will notify you and let you know. If they do have it, it is $15.00. If that link above doesn't work, you can go to www.amazon.ca and look up the name of the book which will lead you to the same link.
I just saw this book on half.com for $8.00 a few months ago, I'm bummed that it is out of print and SO expensive now, because I wish everyone could read this book!
You could also call some christian book stores in your area and ask if they have the book, you never know, they may! Good luck, I hope that you can get your hands on a copy, I will pray that you do!
