I happened to go to the bookstore yesterday and they were giving an educator's discount fo 25%, so one of the books i got was "Hope and Help for your Nerves" by Claire weekes. I wondered if anyone thought it was funny that a teacher ( I homeschool) needed this book!!!

It looks good, kind of the same info as the program about acceptance and learning not to fear the fear.

Peace to you, Mintflower

I had anxiety/panic 5 years ago. One of the first books I bought was Hope and Help for your Nerves. This was before I even heard of Lucinda. The book was good. There was one quote that still sticks in my mind today "your anxiety is caused by constant brooding." That just stuck with me, it wasn't constant "worry" but "brooding" and there is a difference. Described me to a tee. The book is dated, written a while ago. I thought Lucinda's book was one of the best though. There are alot of other good books out there. I'll have to get my old list and post it here.

Claire Weeks also has audio cassettes. I bought them as well. I listened to them in the car on the way to work. It got my mind off driving, which was hard for me to do at the time.

I found something in each of the books that I could hold onto for courage. They're highlighted, underlines, and well used. Enjoy any of them.
