I am currently reading a book, Who Ordered This Truckload of Dung?: Inspiring Stories for Welcoming Life's Difficulties by Ajahn Brahm.
The author is a Buddhist Monk of ****ney origin. I am Christian and never thought I would be reading a book by a Buddhist monk but its wisdom is largely universal and common sense and deals with alot of what our course does. I highly recommend it and it is relatively inexpensive softcover.

The title is actually about a little parable about depression that you'll just have to read.

Aww fer Pete's sake. I've been programatically censored. Now what if I wanted to use a synonym for Rooster? Big Grin
ANyways, the Buddhist Monk originates from Eastend London, England!

Thanks for recommending this book! I got it and I love it! It really is so much of what the program is teaching us. So many of the stories have applied to me.

I'm more than just two bad bricks! And that story sticks with me alot and helped me alot. Also, the story about pain, and accepting it can be applied to anxiety. It has helped me to accept my anxiety alot more too.

Thanks again.

When I first saw this post I was scratching my head saying who would buy this book? I just got it and it is very good! As a Baptist, I appreciate these short thoughts from a Buddhist.

Yes, he really makes alot of sense. And the stories are a great way to read about what he is trying to tell us.
