Oh my gosh people! Go out and buy this book! Hope and Health for Your Nerves by Clare Weekes used to be my "owner's manual" but it is now getting pushed to the side! Freedom From Fear is now right next to my Bible. The author Howard Liebgold was a medical doctor that suffered from anxiety for 31 years before he figured out what he had and was cured. His story is right up there with Lucinda's. I have only read the first chapter and have gotten so much from it. Some things have clicked in my brain that never have before by just that first chapter! It is easy to read. He works with children alot so he talks and teaches like he is teaching a twelve year old--his writing just makes sense. A very feel good book. I got a used copy at Amazon.com for like 5 or 6 bucks but now after 1 chapter--I would have paid 30 bucks for it if I had to. Please get a copy and see if you agree.

YR, I bought this book too, and have found it to be very helpful. I cortical shift and do the hiearchy homework. I accept the fact, that the only way out of this anxiety, is to go through it. I've been to the dentist, shopping malls, market, restaurants, etc. It's helped me sooo much. I completed the book, and continue to read it over and over. I like the fact that Howard is a doctor, and Lucinda is regular person like you and I. A lot of their techniques overlap, but that's good right? IT'S A GREAT BOOK!!! I too recommended it in this section some time ago.

Do the exercises, they help and the anxiety goes away. I feel I'm almost there!!!! Did you know you can call Howard? His phone number is in the back of the book. I haven't called, but plan to soon.
