You can get weights at any sporting goods store, or at Walmart. You probably don't need weights that are only 2 pounds apart - I'd recommend two 5 lb and two 10 pound dumbells. If you think 5 lb is too heavy, you can also get two 2 or 3 lb ones.
If you are female YOU WILL NOT BULK UP - you don't have enough testosterone. Plus, although it will seem it when you first start out, even 10 pounds isn't that heavy. If you've never done any weights before, the best thing to do is have someone show you how to do it properly. If you can't find anyone, there are good basic books like "Weightlifting for dummies", or look for a good beginner web site. You should make sure that the weights are the heaviest you can do about 10-12 repetitions of each exercise with proper form - if you feel like you can do a zillion, its not doing you any good.
You can do cardio and yoga on the same day if you want. The only rule of thumb is to only work the same bodypart (with weights) every 48 hours. So don't do bicep exercises every day - do them every other day, or every couple of days.

Hi Amy, That's great that you're wanting to do strength training...I love it! I do my workouts at home (have 3 boys, so not a whole lot of time! ) and I do the Firm. It's the best and I love it, it's giving me great results. If you haven't strength trained before, I would start out with 3 and 5 lb weights. They're are so many benefits to strength training. As far as daily menus.....I do a low carb way of eating. I don't believe in low-fat/high carb ways of eating. The only thing I drink is water and I don't eat any sugar. I feel very healthy and my blood tests results show that. I have tons of energy which is great, also. Hope that helps you! Wish you the best!! Dana
