I don't have either one, but my therapist told me that I have hypoglycimic reactions.I hate those! You know, that loopy feeling, where you feel like you're not making any sense?
I'm wondering if there is anyone on here that has either one and what kind of diet there on. What foods do you avoid? What foods are best to eat?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Skyeyes,

I was told the same thing and was also told to eat 5-6 little meals a day instead of 3 big ones. It is important not to go for more than a couple of hours without something in our stomachs. I aslo drink lots of water and it helps. I feel more stable when I eat and I have really found a correlation to feeling anxious and eating. Sometimes I feel so edgy and irratable and then I have something to eat and I get really calm and relaxed and I feel balanced again. Low blood sugar can mimic the symptoms of anxiety or get your anxiety rolling...but take care of yourself...our bodies are begging us to do so!! I have learned it's better to listen to these messages or our bodies WILL rebel!!
Take Care,
::P

Hi

I have had problems with low blood sugar/hypoglycimia for years. Sometimes it was so bad that I would have to go into a store, rip open a pack of something sweet and eat it standing in the aisle (and yes I always paid the store owner!)

I have been following 'The Zone' for about 10 months and very rarely have low blood sugar any more (if I do it's because I have indulged a bit too much in carbs). I used to eat refined/processed carbohydrates at nearly every meal and since I have decreased my intake of them I am not having any problems. The Zone is very focused on insulin levels and controlling blood sugar, it also talks about anxiety/depression and their relationship to food. I very rarely feel hungry, in fact I struggle trying to eat all the food that's recommended! I do believe that it's all about balance and moderation.

I hope you can find an answer to your problem and if The Zone is not to your liking I'm sure you'll find what works for you. The Zone website is: www.eicotech.com.

Best Wishes

Love & Laugs

Hi you guys!
Thankx for taking the timeto respond to me.
I really want to overcome this one badly because I hate it!LOL.
Chantal, thanx for the advice.I'm going to try it. What have I got to lose? I think water definitely helps. I drink a lot of it, too! You're not alone on this one.You are so right about our bodies "rebelling" on us if we don't take action to take care of ourselves.
Shassy, thank you for the link! I going to check it out as soon as I'm done writing this. Good for you that you took the steps to take care of yourself! I'm glad that it's under control for you.
I have been known to open a bag of goodies in the grocery store, too!LOL. ( I pay for them, too.lol)
God Bless,
sky
