LJH,
I am a sugar-oholic! I love my sugar! It had been a challenge to come off of it but eventually, I have done it. I have just cut out pure white refined sugar. I still eat fruit, and vegetables (boy, was I surprised when Dr. Fisher said Broccoli has sugar in it). I just don't eat baking, or candy, or juices - unless it is no sugar added. I buy yogurt without asparatame or sugar in it. I am like addicted to the cranberry cocktail with no sugar added - yum, yum. I can't say personally I have noticed much of a difference. I think I generally just feel healthier though which is definitely a positive. For me with regards to anxiety and such, cutting out the caffeine was the best. It cut my anxiety in half pretty much.
Here's to fueling our body with nutrients, it definitely helps to feel better Smiler

Sugar and caffeine are not good for you in excess. And there is a new sugar subsitute called "splenda" that is wonderful, and it doesnt have apsartame or saccarin in it, and you can sweeten anything with it. I live with a diebatic and if you cut out sugar, its healthier for you , pluse if you cut sugar and caffiene and walk, you will lose weight. Get a good exercise program going for yourself, it helps your body and your mind. God Bless you Smiler

Nervous Nelly,
I am curious to know more about Splenda! It is a sugar substitute that has no sugar in it? I am curious because I have never heard of it! It sounds like it has potential in my diet Smiler

Thanks Craw! I appreciate your reply. It turns out my mom was recommended splenda for her diabetes by the nutritionist. I have already encouraged my mom to seek a second opinion because the nutritionist also said that she can drink unlimited diet cola. I have had some concerns about asparatame in the past.
Just like with anything it is nice to be well informed before making a decision!
