I can't seem to get myself to commit to a strict diet or exercise. I'm young and in fairly good shape. I have been stuck on this tape for a long time, actually I just havn't been doing any thing in the program. I'm feeling alot better anxiety wise. should I skip to lesson 6 or stay here until I'm doing what tape 5 says? HELP!

Hi again Eyore,

It's really up to you what you decide to do but if it were me, I would try to follow the guidelines of the workbook. They are all good suggestions. Of course, if you already have a fairly good diet and exercise moderately you are on the right track. you don't have to overdo it. Just choose a balance that is right for you. You don't have to do everything exactly the same. Just choose what is comfortable for you. I can say though that it is possible to find a happy medium with food and exercise. Like myself for example, I stopped drinking coffee altogether for a while but now I have started again but I drink less. I used to exercise six or seven days a week but now I find that I only need four or five days and other days, I only need three. Exercise and healthy eating are definately good habits to get into so use you'r own judgement on this one and you can't go wrong. In the intro of the workbook, the suggested studying guidelines are one week for every lesson.

Nice talking to ya,
Lili

I would suggest that you move on to the next tape. I remember that I spent the least amount of time on this tape. I knew I needed to remove sugar and caffeine from my diet and I would hit-and-miss on an exercise routine. It seems that the information presented in this tape will become more important as you progress through the program. Good luck to you!

Eyore
If you have spent a week or more on tape 5 you can move on to tape 6. You can always come back if needed. I've found that life requires we sometimes abandon something to move on to something else. But sometimes by doing so you can find the answers you were looking for in the next lesson or life experience. Like reading a paragraph several times, getting frustrated by not understanding it all, then moving on down the page only to find it fully explains the paragraph you didn't understand. Bottom line: move on and see if it helps - you can always come back. Tammy
