any advice on how anyone quit the caffeine and sugar. I feel I'm addicted to both especially coffee. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Caffeine should be broken down gradually. If you drink 5 cups of coffee or 5 cans of soda per day cut down to four one week-the next three and so on.Replace with water or de-caffeinated drinks of course.Sugar on the other hand is best to just drop it all together.Refined sugar for sure.It was hard for me to give it up altogether and to be truthful I didn't;I drastically cut it down.I didn't realize how much I was putting into my body but I did feel a signifigant lose in my anxiety level by cutting the sugar down.Drop it as much as you can. There is so much sugar in a lot of things we eat and don't realize.Become a label checker on store items.I hoped I helped you some.Take care and welcome to the forum. You'll find great helpful advice and support around here.

redhead,
I share your frustration. It's hard to give up coffee and tea and especially chocolate! Your body feels so much more relaxed without these things in your system and much as it's hard to give them up. Tim always gives great advice. Weaning is a good way to lower your intake of sweets and caffeine. You might find once you are off coffee for a while, you won't even crave it or enjoy it anymore.Good luck. |
