I've recently started doing hard workouts again, but have discovered that my body will not sweat like it used to. I used to do hard work outs and feel great afterwards because I would be all sweaty and feel as though I had accomplished a good work out. Now when I work out I'm doing the same things and my body is just not sweating. I think a big part, if not the main reason, is because my body is so used to getting to the point where I am hot and feel like I'm going to just start sweating( during panic attacks)and then I would think no your ok stop this process...etc. Could the mind and body have become trained like this? I'm not sure. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I know this sounds crazy, but I want a nice sweaty workout!!!! HAHA

Never experienced it myself, but I don't think your body can get used to sweating, though I could be wrong. Maybe you are dehydrated? That is the only thing that I can think of- OR maybe you are in better shape now than you used to be so it takes longer for your body to get to the point where is sweats!

I have a friend who has the same problem. It has something to do with the sweat glands and she is taking something for it but can't remember what it is. The problem was diagnosed by her doctor and the treatment has been very effective. She's in Colombia right now but will email her and ask what her doctor prescribed.

i used to sweat a like pig when I was a kid. Then I stopped sweating. Now I'm 41 and I wake up drenched. The hormone thing brought it all back. It does help to cope with being hot when you sweat properly. Like the above person said, maybe you're in better shape. Or maybe you simply are just not hot enough. Also, some meds can stop sweating.
