Hi,
After listen the tape #5 a couple of times, I heard Dr. Fisher saying to stay away from sugar and to use a artificial sweetener at times. Has anyone heard of the herb, Stevia as a natural supplement. I have read that Stevia is 30 times sweeter than sugar and it supports the function of the pancreas. We buy it from our health food store and food co-op. Has anyone else heard anything about the herb, Stevia. Beth |

I have heard of it and a friend of mine bought it and has her kids on it because she was doing a body cleanse with her kids. Does it taste good? I don't know that much about it but would like more info.
Thanks Betty |

Hi Betty,
Yes, Stevia does tastes good and it is sweet. My husband uses it as a sweetner in his tea or chai. I have used it in food dishes I make where the recipe calls for sugar I subsitute Stevia. I live in the Midwest and last year I saw someone in my area growing Stevia in their garden. When we were touring their garden, we just pulled a leaf off and tasted it. It was very sweet. The best thing about this herb, Stevia, is that it suppose to be helpful to your body. Beth |

Hi Beth,
I have used Stevia for over a yr. now. I've always watched what I ate but I hate to admit I put 3 heaping spoonfuls of sugar in my de-caf tea every day. Just 1 cup in the a.m. for years!!! I was always concerned w/ the artificial sweetners so when I heard of Stevia I was so excited! It's a little pricey but well worth it. I have also taken off 5 lbs. over the year Sincerely, Diane
