Hi Udo,
First of all I would like to bring to your attention that you are "normal". You are a normal person who experiences "abnormal" amounts of anxiety, caused by your interpretation of life's events. This is caused by your over-reactive personality and a few other traits that tend to lead to irrational, negative thoughts. You have taken the right steps in assuring yourself that your heart palpatations are not caused by anything other than what you create yourself... good for you for seeing a physician! Excercising is excellent for everyone, especially for those who react to anxiety the way I "used" to. I am currently on week #9 of the program. For me this has been the answer to many questions I have been seeking for what seems to be a lifetime. I have found that the program offers the life skills that have never been taught. This powerful information has the ingredients to show you how to overcome your anxiety/panic and subsequently depression... something I know you have never learned or you wouldn't feel this way. You cannot arrive at a destination if you have never been told where to go! Make sense? Learn to trust this program...Lucinda and her team have taken the time to "find the way" for you. Use her map on how to get there. After all, she did all the hard work of discovering it... you just have to apply it. I am not sure what is holding you back, but if you would like to give yourself the "gift of a lifetime" I would highly suggest you get on the phone NOW, order the program and stop procratinating. The program is designed with a money back guarantee... the only thing you can lose, is your anxiety! Good Luck and keep up the excercise! |

Hi Udo - Welcome!
I agree with what Devad said - everything. Get the program. It does help if you work it. I purchased it a few years ago - have completed it once and still refer to it, as it has great skills to use in every day life. I joined a fitness club and exercise regularly. It helps. The thoughts and fears you are having are quite common to those of use who suffer with anxiety and panic, but just keep exercising. You've been given a clean bill of health. Don't let the scary thoughts stop you from doing what you need to do for yourself. The only way to get over the fear of doing something is to go out and do it. The more you exercise, the less fearful you will be because you'll see that your fears aren't accurate. What helps me when I exercise is to take one of the program tapes along and listen to it, or listen to some upbeat music. Plus we can watch TV's where I go, so sometimes I do that. I distract myself. Or I count the number of steps I'm taking when I run. Or I tune into the rhythm of the gentleman running next to me. But I don't stay focused on scary thoughts. They are thoughts, only thoughts, not reality. Hope this helps. Patti |

Udo,
My main physical symptom was chest pain, so I can relate. You've been checked out by a doctor - right? So at least the logical side of you knows that you are not going to have a heart attack any time soon. Just keep reminding yourself of that. Until you get the tapes, you might want to start slower on exercising. Instead of getting your heart really pounding, start with just getting your heart rate up a little. Rule of thumb is you should be able to talk but not sing. If your heart starts pounding too fast, you can slow down a little. Set reasonable goals for how long you will exercise, and do your best to stick to them. If you haven't exercised before, maybe start with 5 minutes a few times a week - you can put up with the fear for that long. Then do 10 minutes, etc. You also need to find an exercise that you enjoy, and not just do it because you should. Try doing something with a friend or family member - you can walk, bike, dance, play with some kids, or whatever. Find a nice pretty park or trail to do it in when the weather is nice. |

You need to figure out some way to distract yourself while you are walking/exercising. Listen to a tape or count backwards from 100 over and over or something like that. If you start walking for 5 or 10 minutes regularly, your mind will grow accustomed to this habit over time and should help you not have palpitations. Once you are getting use to doing the exercise you can increase the length. Baby steps that's the key. As far as fooling yourself into why you are exercising, I only have one comment. Just do it.

Udo, if you are questioning getting the tapes, get them! I had a massive panic attack the day before my tapes arrived. (another 500.00 er visit) The next day the tapes came in and I went to work at once. I am now on week six and have not been plagued yet. I still get uptight but I now know how to deal with it. Plus all of the questions I had about my health and why my body had all these symptoms was answered. That was a big releif. When you know why you have shooting pains going down your arm and why you may feel dizzy or why your heart pounds so hard it is so easy to remind yourself and the symptoms soon subside.
Had I known this program would have worked or if I had known it existed years ago I coud have saved myself around 5,000 in medical bills. I personally would not hesitate. If it doesn't work, it cost around 300.00! A drop in the bucket for what I have had to shell out! Ender |
