you guys know that pie i bought for the family the day of my dentist appt? the one that my kids didnt like? the one i loved?
well......I ate the whole thing and today there is no pie. Guess what i want? PIE guess what else i want? CAFFEINE! i have been fine with out caffeine for a little while now until this pie incidence. But see, the pie was carmal pecan french silk and i thought that it didnt have much chocolate in it since it was layered but it must have been enough to give me back the caffeine craving. Guess what else? I have a headache too.
Gosh i cant believe how much a whole pie eaten in four days hehe could affect me. Now i want sugar big time and caffeine.
Also i was a Beach to my kids the other night cause i am pmsing (maybe another reason i wanted the whole pie and not one piece)
Anyway back to square one here ......
oh and jingles where are you? i thought we were losing weight together....i lost 3 lbs last week, i dont even want to get on the scale and see what it says on sunday unless i fast for the next 3 days.....oh well.

Hey Lori,

I came across a good website the other day and even saved the link because I thought it may come in handy someday. Smiler

http://wellnessonline.com/W-Weight%20control.htm

I'm sure you may find some helpful information there.

I also put a book on hold called "The Cortisol Connection" and it talks about Cortisol and it's connection to FAT. Apparently, Cortisol ( the stress hormone us anxiety people overdose on!) can cause people to gain fat and keep fat stored in the body. It has been said that where there is high cortisol, there is usually high estrogen amounts in women and also a tendency to gain fat and keep fat stored on the body.

You may be interested in checking this out too!
This website has an area where you can read some pages of the book.

ABOUT THE PIE....What kind was it??? Was it worth it? Big Grin

Oh well, pick up where you left off and don't beat yourself up for having this MOMENT!

Warm apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream sounds REALLY good about now! Good thing I don't have any! LOL

BTW....scales are BAD !!! Muscle weighs more than fat. So if you are working out at all, your muscles will increase as your fat decreases. YOU CAN TRUST THE NUMBERS!! Instead measure yourself and go by inches! This is more truthful.

I'm struggling right now with my weight nd eating too. I eat when I am anxious and unfourtunatley that seems to be all the time. I am starting lesson 5 this week and I am looking forward to it but dreading it too. Before the onset of the severe anxiety 2 years ago I had lost over 100# with exercise and diet. I have now gained more than half of it back and of course that leads to me feeling worthless and then more anxious. I do know that caffiene can increase your appetite and when you are pmsing your body can crave sweets. You are strong and you will get through this. Good Luck. I hope I can loose 3#. To me at this point it would be a huge accomplishement.

ok quit punishing yourself its natural if you deprive yourself of goodies that you love you will crave them and binge, its ok dont beat yourself up over it ,it wont sabotage you unless you let it.No one is telling you you can never have goodies again, just to be aware of the circumstances it may bring on. So dont deprive yourself of everything there are some goodies out there perfectly ok to eat, just not the whole thing-k...good luck ...Niecy
