Amethyst.....once again bravo but boy, others just aren't getting it are they? Oh well, that's why placebo's work also. If you believe they work then they will. Goes with this program, our thinking is quite powerful. But I love hearing facts with scientific back up. I appreciate opinions but that is all it is , an opinion. Throw me a fact with a study behind it and THAT is what I feel is important. I would think that would be obvious to most ya know?

Brigitte:Thanks. I agree. Some people just don't want to hear it and from some of the statements I've seen on the forum, some have misrepresented science and really don't seem to understand really how science works. It's really sad.... I'm doing my best to clear up the misunderstandings Wink .

i chose to go the more natural route- supplements and herbal remedies.
when my anxiety disorder and depression first "hit" me back in 8/02, i was a BIG mess, as i'm sure many of you can relate.
i had CONSTANT anxiety and scary obsessive thoughts. i lost 40 pounds in 65 days, as i couldn't eat. the next few months after that was a roller coaster ride for me. i think in a
5 month period i barely had any days without anxiety and/or depression.
right from the beginning though i made the personal and best choice for myself
to take a more natural route with my recovery. it took me several months of intense research and "trial & error", but then i found a great, safe and effective supplemental/herbal "routine" that works so well for me.

if not for the wonderful midwest program,
the power of good, healthy nutrition, supplements and exercise- i'd hate to think what mental and emotional state i would be in now because of gad/depression/ocd......

....though i would probably still be doing good now because i always promised myself that if the natural supplemental and herbal "route" i was taking didn't work for me-
i would quickly visit my doctor and ask for medication to help me through my recovery.
nothing wrong with meds at all. whatever helps. it's individual choice and every brain/body works and responds differently.
