Anything is better than sitting around.

Can you walk slowly? If you can, take it easy and work yourself up. Who knows, you might find the asthma gets better.

I have a friend who suffered with asthma for forty years and hasn't had to use her inhaler in months. She read some book (her MD doctor gave her) that taught her how to do breathing exercises where 3 times a day she would hold her breath (and nose) as long as possible on the exhale without blowing out. She said she couldn't hold it ten seconds in the beginning. Now she's up to over a minute. I can't do it that llong and I don't have asthma.

Three times a day, breakfast lunch and dinner, she would do it once every ten minutes, 3 times. For example, 12Noon, 12:10PM, and 12:20 PM. That's 9 times a day.

It has something to do with carbon dioxide opening up her airways....I think.

Get out and walk...five minutes today, six minutes tomorrow...until you work your way up to 30-45 minutes and day and see how much better you feel in just a few weeks.

Walking is aerobic exercise. You don't have to work hard to get a workout. Just walk for about 20 min. a day.

Evidence shows that people don't have to work up a sweat to get good exercise.
