Yes. I have suspected stress to be the culprit, but have never had it confirmed by medical research. I'm guessing it is vitamin related. I also lost weight - so I know my diet was lacking. I was also wondering about hormone changes with anxiety and such. So many things affect us physically when we are stressed. Luckily I have a thick head of hair. Haven't missed the fall out too much! ha Tammy

If your appetite is still not back on track you might want to consider buying some Ensure to drink. It's very good for you. Loaded with vitamins and it tastes good too. CVS has their brand name and Walmart has their own brand name too....this may add to your diet and help you get your nutrition back up to par and your appetite.
It worked for me when I lost over 10lbs. No hair loss for me though. Maybe because I kept drinking the ensure even when I couldn't eat. thankfully now my appetite is back to normal.
HI Kimba! I didn't have it happen to me but I recently spoke to a woman at work who said that she rarely brushed her hair these days because of all of the hair she was losing. She said she had never had that problem until she started working at (my old) job! I knew that my work had gotten so stressful that it was no longer healthy but I never lost my hair. This woman was so stressed that it was falling out by the handfuls! Take care of yourself!

Kimba, Yes, I have the same problems with hair and weight loss. I dread getting out of the shower because I know that when I brush my hair that I will get a handful out of the brush! Also, I lost alot of weight and my neighbors kept asking me what I was doing to lose the weight! If they only knew! I drank "Boost" when I absolutely couldnt eat at all. Its very good and can be chugged quite easily. Beware though, the appetite does come back with a vengeance! Leona~

I too noticed this...but my hairdresser told me healthy people lose on average 100 hairs per day...so I thought I am still doing OK. My hair is thick, so I wasn't really worried, and now it just falls out in "strands" like it used to.
