I do believe Caffeine is bad. Yesterday I decided I would not use Caffeine[I drank 1 Coke] as I got a really bad headache but no panic attacks.Last night I woke up my head was splitting[no wonder I drank Coke all night long every time I woke up] Today I still have the headache but I know it will go away I do not feel nervous altho I still take my meds. I think that Caffeine just might be part of it. I had things happen yesterday that should have trigged an attack but it didn't happen. Thank God leave the caffeine alone.

VIOLET,
If your used to drinking alot of caffiene i suggest that you taper off gradually. thats probably why you had a splitting headache.

You couldn't pay me a million dollars to put caffeine in my system. I might as well inject adrenanline straight into my veins. Caffeine whether you want to believe it or not is the WORST WORST WORST WORST thing for anxiety.

Coffee, teas, sodas, chocolates, some cold medications and pain relievers are often abused by those mistreating depression by self-medicating with the stimulant drug caffeine. Unfortunately, this drug only masks depression at the expense of fueling anxiety-panic, irritability, and sleeplessness. Caffeine is a chemical compound similar to the hormone adrenaline. It stimulates activity of the brain, heart, kidneys and intestines. Consuming too much caffeine over time can lead to dependence. If you suddenly stop consuming it, you may experience headaches. Tapering off this drug and unmasking reality over time is an overall better growth experience for most folks managing anxiety-panic-depression with The Midwest Center Program.
