Hello all -
not sure if anyone else has this problem. I know my hypoglycemia used to make me feel really bad before, but ever since my anxiety has gotten bad, that's gotten worse too. I didn't realize how much until yesterday when I didn't eat a lot of protein and my sugar levels went crazy and made me feel terrible. Back in December when my panic started getting out of control, my face was always red and felt like it burned (not to mention the other things that go along with it). Yesterday, I had the same sensation which made me realize that my sugar levels must have had something to do with those problems and I started panicking again. I don't ever want to feel that way again.

Stress can most certainly cause sugar to go out of wack. So can roseacea - a skin disorder. During stressful times it makes your face red and feel like it is burning.

Gayle,

Do you check your blood sugar? If not, I recommend it. I check mine several times a day. If you are not eating right that will make your blood sugar low. That was one of my problems. I could only nibble on cheese or sip a drink. The anxiety/panic took my appetite completely away. If I thought about food I would get nauseated. Then I would get all the "feelings" that come with low sugar and that would make me panic. I have battle this through the years but I am better right now. Please talk to your doctor and tell him/her that you are not eating good and see what they say. I don't know if you have a blood sugar monitor but if you don't you need to get one. I would not be without mine. Please try to eat. You will be in my prayers.

Take care,
Tina Smiler
