I CANT EXPRESS JUST HOW MUCH I CAN RELATE. I AM NOT OVERWEIGHT, AT LEAST ON A SCALE, BUT I HAVE A HORRIBLE SELF IMAGE. LONG STORY SHORT, I HAVE BEEN BATTLING WITH MY PERCEPTION OF MY WEIGHT FOR SO LONG. THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO IS GIVE UP SUGAR...COMPLETELY! I KNOW IT IS HARD. MY FAVORITE FOOD IS CANDY...ESPECIALLY "RUNTS" SO I KNOW IT WILL BE HARD BUT ONCE YOU GIVE UP THE SUGAR YOUR INSULIN LEVELS WILL BE BETTER THUS YOU WILL BE LESS HUNGRY. TRY SUGAR BUSTERS. GO TO WWW.SUGARBUSTERS.COM FOR AN OVERVIEW.

GOOD LUCK!

I think you answered your own question. You are feeling stressed and it is showing up in food as opposed to anxiety. Since you realize this, you can do something about it. Snack on healthier foods like apples with a small amount of peanut butter for dipping (very healthy too) or raw veggies but do not starve yourself b/c you know this will just make you eat more. Also snacking on small meals (6) is lot better than eating 3 large meals. You know the foods to avoid like fried stuff and eat some fish (if you like fish). Diet is one of the dirty 4 letter words. So do not say it. Look at it like you did to get yourself through anxiety, it is a lifestyle change/choice. Remember this too, 1 pound=3500 calories, so to lose 1 pound a week you need to cut back on 500 calories a day. If you do this all w/food, you will feel deprived so try to work out to burn 250 calories a day and cut out 250 food calories a day (which could be a can of soda pop).

You can do anything you set your mind to. How bad to you want it?

I'm so there with ya! I just found a little stretch mark on my inner leg way down by my knee! What's up with that? I've had them on my inner thighs for years but now the whole shorts thing is going to be tough!
It's time for me to look at myself honestly and say, Caesarsaladeater no more! Pass the water pitcher please!
The diet thing doesn't work for anyone. Almost everyone I know is over weight and every time they lose some, it comes back, with friends. The only people I know who have kept it off for a long time, have totally changed their habits. I think I finally want it bad enough now - just to feel healthy and look nice in a pair of shorts and I'm happy. We can do it. A little bit goes a long way.
All the best.

This should not be depressing at all!! At least you've done it before and this means it can be done again....think about those that have NEVER lost weight and wanted to.

If you want it bad enough, you can do it.
Heck, you already did it before and that says it all.
