Has anyone ever heard of tyrosine? I take it in supplemental form (Twinlab L-Tyrosine) as prescribed by my naturopathic doctor. But pork and walnuts are high in tyrosine and I find that when I include these in my diet it REALLY helps to evelate my mood, naturally. I thought I would share this because I have been very blessed with the knowledge of how foods and nutrients influence our biochemistry, just like our thoughts, spiritual life, sleep, rest, exercise, hormones etc., etc. do.

Psalm91,
I had tuna salad w/ apples and walnuts and then for dinner I had pork! Big Grin I think for the most part, I eat right, but I have my days when nothing will cure the chocolate craving but chocolate. Therefore, I get a Dove dark chocolate bar and eat the entire thing by myself.
Dark Chocolate is about the only type of chocolate that's good for you but it's high in fat, so you have to be careful.

This website has some good infomation on foods:

Wow! That was an awesome site!!! I printed all of the nutrient information to mull over in the coming days. It's so awesome to see in print how we can further influence that biochemistry
by eating healthy. I also printed out several of the recipes! Thanks so much for sharing! How did you locate this website? Do you have any others up your sleeve? (lol) Big Grin

You may be interested in Janet Maccaro's books!

She has also written other books that have alot to do with vitamins, minerals and how they play an important role in overcoming things like stress. She has also experienced panic attacks and speak about them along with depression in her book called "Breaking the grip of dangerous emotions"

She's also a Christian, so she relates what she's talking about to scripture.
